BGB-BGP confce starts in Cox’s Bazar

A regional commander level conference between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) started in Cox's Bazar yesterday morning. 

A 15-member BGB delegation led by Brig Gen Najm-Us-Sakib, the regional commander of BGB Cox's Bazar Region and a 16-member BGP delegation led by Police Brigadier General Htet Lwin are attending the conference.

Both sides will discuss drug trafficking, illegal intrusion, transnational crimes, border security through information sharing, coordinated patrolling, among other issues.  The Myanmar delegation will leave following the end of the conference today and signing of the joint declaration.
