Bangladesh signs deal with Sweden
Embassy of Sweden, Dhaka and Reproductive Health Services, Training and Education Program (RHSTEP), Bangladesh yesterday signed the joint collaboration agreement of Swedish Kroner 12 million for "Strengthening of safe Menstrual Regulation and Family Planning services and reduction of unsafe abortions for improving SRHR situations in Bangladesh (Safe MR Project) Phase-II" project from January-December 2022 period.
Christin Johannsson, head of Development Cooperation, Embassy of Sweden, and Quazi Suraiya Sultana, executive director of RHSTEP signed the agreement.
This agreement is an extension of a four year project of 48.5 million SEK implemented during October 2017-September 2021 in 22 districts of Bangladesh by RHSTEP and its partner organisation Association for Prevention of Septic Abortions, Bangladesh.
