2 workers die falling off building

Two construction workers died after falling from an under-construction building in Mirpur yesterday morning.

The deceased are Raihan and Rahim. They  fell when the rope of a scaffold snapped around 11:45am, said OC Mohammad Mohsin of Mirpur Police Station.

They were plastering the exterior wall of the 10-storey building, standing on the scaffold.

One of them died on the spot while another passed away at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, the police official said. The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
