2-month-old's body recovered in Munshiganj ditch

The body of a two-month-old infant was recovered this morning four days after he went missing in Munshiganj.

The deceased was identified as Azan. Locals found his body in a ditch and informed police, our local correspondent reports quoting his maternal uncle Mokter.

Munshiganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Aminul Islam said, "A case was filed on September 28 when he went missing from his grandfather Mohon Mia's house at Gopalnagar."

Their neighbour was detained for interrogation today, the OC said.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Munshiganj General Hospital for autopsy.
