2 individuals, one org nominated for award

Two individuals and one organisation have been nominated for "Bangabandhu Award for Wildlife Conservation".

Wildlife Advisory Board of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry finalised the nominations on Thursday.

They were finalised in three categories at a meeting chaired by Environment Minister Shahab Uddin held in ministry's conference room.

Late noted zoologist and wildlife researcher Mohammad Anisuzzaman Khan has been nominated in "Education and Research" category, Bakthiyar Hamid from Chuadanga in the category of "Forest and Wildlife Conservation Officer, Renowned Researcher, Scientist, Wildlife Conservation and Media Personnel".

An organisation -- "Team for Energy and Environment" -- from Government Azizul Haque College in Bogura has been nominated in "Dedicated to Wildlife Conservation" category.

Each awardee will receive a crest worth two tola of gold along with Tk 50,000.

Deputy Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Begum Habibun Nahar and Secretary Md Mostafa Kamal were present, among others, at the meeting.
