15th parliamentary session prorogued today

The 15th session of the 11th parliament was prorogued today.

A total of nine bills were passed in this session in the nine sittings of the parliament.

Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury read out the prorogation order of President M Abdul Hamid.

Earlier Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Deputy Leader of the Opposition GM Quader delivered their winding-up speech in parliament.

A special discussion was held in this session marking the golden jubilee of the country's independence.

President Abdul Hamid delivered a commemorative speech in parliament on November 24 on the occasion of the special discussion in parliament.
