Temporary tourism ban in 4 upazilas of Bandarban extended till Nov 4
The Bandarban district administration has extended the temporary ban on tourism at the district's four upazilas -- Ruma, Rowangchhari, Thanchi, and Alikadam -- till November 4 for security measures.
A public notice signed by Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibrizi was issued this (October 30, 2022) afternoon.

On October 23, the Bandarban district administration has imposed a temporary ban on tourism at Thanchi and Alikadam upazilas as part of preventive measures against "underground criminals" in the district.
The ban comes just six days after two other upazilas in the district --Rowangchhari and Ruma -- were temporarily closed off to tourists for the same reason on October 17.
