No dilly-dallying, work in military style, PM tells Water Development Board
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed Water Development Board to shun the culture of dilly-dallying.
The prime minister said this while giving approval to several projects related to the protection of rivers at a meeting of Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec), Planning Minister MA Mannan told reporters today.
About the prime minister's instruction for WDB, Planning Minister Mannan said, "You (WDB) work in a slow pace. By the time you wrap up a project, the previous one is broken."
Quoting the PM, the minister said, "Work has to be done very fast, it has to be done promptly in military style."
"Whatever you do, the work should be sustainable," Minister Mannan quoted the premier.
