DSCC demolishes 9 illegal structures to build walkways around Dhanmondi lake

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) today demolished illegal portions of nine structures in the capital's Dhanmondi to construct walkways around Dhanmondi lake.

State Officer of DSCC Md Muniruzzaman and Executive Magistrate Tanzila Kabir Trapa led the drive.

During the drive, the DSCC team demolished illegal portions of two under-construction structures of Amin Mohammad Foundation and Akash Development Limited in the area.

The team members also gave Akash Development three days to dismantle another illegal portion after the latter submitted a written assurance.

They also gave Space Lake Castle seven days to dismantle an illegal portion of their structure following written assurance.

Muniruzzaman said they conducted the drive from road 32/A to road 27 to build walkways along the lake.
