Army personnel start distributing food among 750 families in Patuakhali

To deal with the ongoing Covid-19 fallout, army personnel from Patuakhali's Sheikh Hasina Cantonment started distributing food among families today.

At 10 am today, Lt Col Khandaker Munir Hossain, Captain of the Sheikh Hasina Cantonment's 42nd Field Regiment Artillery, began delivering food aid to the homes of disadvantaged families in Patuakhali's old ferry ghat area, reports our correspondent.

Captain Munir Hossain said, in the first phase, Sheikh Hasina Cantonment has begun distributing food aid to 750 poor families in five groups across six upazilas in the district. Each food aid packet includes five kg rice, two kg flour, two kg pulses, two liters of oil, and 500 gm of salt.

Meanwhile, the captain urged everyone to follow the government's health regulations, which include wearing masks.
