Animal waste to be disposed of by 10pm on Eid day: LGRD minister

The waste of sacrificial animals will be disposed of by 10pm on Eid day (July 10, 2022), LGRD Minister Tajul Islam said today.

Directives have been given to the divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners and local representatives to take measures to dispose of waste between 7pm and 10pm from all areas, said the minister after a meeting with JICA's country representative Hayakawa Yuho at the ministry.

"I hope, no waste will remain after 10pm on Eid day," Tajul said in reply to a question.

Regarding the meeting, Tazul said JICA has expressed interest to finance Wasa's Sewerage Treatment Plant in Chattogram and road communication between Matarbari and Maheshkhali.
