Pre-polls violence: 6 injured in Chuadanga

At least six people were injured when supporters of Awami League candidate allegedly attacked followers of the independent candidate of Titudaha Union Parishad elections in Chuadanga Sadar upazila last night.
Locals said the supporters of Chuadanga Sadar Upazila Awami League's joint-general secretary and independent candidate Mizanur Rahman gathered in Titudaha Center para after an election campaign, reports our Kushtia correspondent.
All of a sudden, people of Titudaha Union AL president and also the ruling party candidate Shukur Ali launched an attack on the supporters of Mizan with knives and sticks.
Six followers of Mizan were injured in the attack, police said.
Confirming the incident, LutfulKabir, officer-in-charge of Darshana Police Station, said, "Additional police have been deployed in the area. Action would be taken against those involved in the attack."
