Pre-election violence: 3 killed, several injured in Narsingdi

At least three people were killed and several were injured in a clash over rivalry centring the upcoming election in Alokbali union parishad in Narsingdi Sadar upazila this morning.

The deceased were identified as Amir Hossain, Ashraful Islam and Khushu Begum.

The clash between supporters of two member candidates occurred at Nekchanpur village early in the morning, said Harun or Rashid, inspector (investigation) of Narsingdi Sadar Police Station.

Condition of another injured is critical, he said.

The bodies were sent to the district Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
