Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia, ruling Awami League mayoral candidate for Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) election, said the election is being held in a fair manner.

"People of Rangpur are with boat (Awami League electoral symbol). Voters will make us victorious by a huge margin for the sake of development," she said.

Dalia came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after casting her vote at Lions School and College centre at 9:30am today.

She further said, "The voting atmosphere is excellent. The city dwellers are coming to the polling stations to cast their votes with enthusiasm. I'm 100 percent hopeful of winning."

"If I win, I will make Rangpur City Corporation a 'Tilottama' (developed, modern) city implementing the manifestos," he added.
