UP Election: Moslem Uddin denies ‘nomination trade’
Awami League lawmaker Moslem Uddin Ahmed yesterday said he was not involved in "nomination trade" centring union parishad election.
Moslem, president of AL Chattogram south district unit and MP of Chattogram-8 constituency, was addressing a press conference at Chattogram Press Club.
He claimed that a group has been spreading propaganda against him to tarnish his image.
On January 6, Kamal Uddin, additional public prosecutor of Judge's Court of Chattogram, in a Facebook status, alleged that although he handed over a cheque for Tk 15 lakh issued for Moslem to a leader of Satkania upazila unit to get AL nomination for chairman post in UP polls, his name was not sent to the party central nomination board.
