Chattogram-8 by-polls on April 27

By-elections to the Chattogram-8 constituency will be held on April 27, using electronic voting machine (EVM).

Election Commission Secretary Jahangir Alam announced the election schedule today after a meeting of election commissioners.

Candidates can submit their nomination papers till March 27 and last date for withdrawal of candidature is April 5, the secretary said.

No CCTV camera will be used during the polls, he added.

The Chattogram-8 constituency fell vacant following the death of Muslemuddin.
