Awami League candidate Abdul Wadud has been elected from Chapainawabganj-3 constituency with 59,638 votes, according to unofficial results.

His nearest rival, independent candidate Samiul Hoque Liton, got 55,980 votes, reports our local correspondent.

Returning Officer and also Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj AKM Galiv Khan confirmed the matter.
