In recognition of the Maitree Diwas, both Bangladesh and Indian governments each year commemorate the invaluable contribution of valiant Muktijuddhas in the journey towards the Liberation of Bangladesh.

As part of the celebration, a "Maitree Week" was celebrated from November 30 to December 5, according to a press release from the High Commission of India in Dhaka today.
