Bangladesh, South Korea year-long celebrations kick off
Bangladesh and South Korea yesterday kicked off a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023 by unveiling logo.
Bangladesh and Korea unveiled the official logo at the award-giving ceremony of the logo design contest at the Korean embassy premises.
The "Logo Contest for the 50th Anniversary of Korea-Bangladesh Diplomatic Relations" was co-organised by the embassy of Korea in Dhaka and the embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul from July to October, 2022.
Around 60 logos were submitted for the contest and four logos were selected.
First prize winner was Hasanul Bari Al Zobayer. Other three runners-up are Jannati Naeyma, Sadik Jamal Kowshik and Billal Hossain Faisal.
Korean Ambassador Lee Jang-keun and Mashfee Binte Shams, secretary (East) of the foreign ministry, were present on the occasion.
Saber Hossain Choudhury, MP, Expatriates' Welfare Secretary Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Planning Commission Member Nasima Begum, Korean Community in Bangladesh President Ryu Young-oh and officials of Bangladesh government, businessmen and journalists attended the event.
