Asean Mini Bazaar held today

The missions of Southeast Asian countries in Dhaka have organised "Asean Mini Bazaar" today to promote their culture and gastronomy in Bangladesh and enhance engagement amongst diplomatic corps and Asean communities in Dhaka.

The Asean embassies including that of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, participated in the bazaar at the Indonesian embassy premises, displaying and selling their signature goods, such as handicrafts, traditional clothes and fabrics, scarfs, and beauty products.

The bazaar organised by Asean Dhaka Committee and Asean Ladies Association also offered traditional delicacies from each country in affordable prices, including world-famous Indonesian coffee.

Fahmina Zabeen, president of the Foreign Officers Spouse Association (FOSA) of MOFA Bangladesh, inaugurated the event as chief guest.

Heads of missions of Asean countries in Dhaka, including the chairman of Asean Dhaka Committee Leo Tito L Ausan Jr, ambassador of Philippine to Bangladesh, Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh and Nepal, Heru Hartanto Subolo and his spouse Sinta Ekawati Subolo welcomed the guests as the host.

Visitors of the bazaar enjoyed the spring vibe and the cultural performances, including one by Indonesian dancers.
