Youth in jail for ‘rape’

A court in Moulvibazar yesterday sent a youth to jail in a case filed for raping a three-year-old girl in Kulaura upazila on Friday.

Police arrested the accused, Hossain Ahmed, 22, from his village on Sunday night after the child's mother filed a rape case with Kulaura Police Station.

Quoting the case statement, SI Parimal Chandra Das said the accused lured the victim into going to an open space, where he raped her.
