Youth arrested for ‘offensive’ comment on police’s Facebook page

A youth was arrested in Munshiganj for his "offensive comment" on a post, on the verified Facebook page of Bangladesh Police.

Police arrested Mizanur Rahman (26) from his house at Dakkhin Rarikhal village in Sreenagar upazila around 8:45pm yesterday, reports our Munshiganj correspondent. 

Around 10:30pm last night, a case was filed against him under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act, Inspector (Investigation) of Sreenagar Police Station Md Kamruzzaman confirmed.

The inspector said legal action has been taken against Mizanur as he made an offensive comment on a post on Bangladesh Police's verified page recently.

He will be produced before the court today, the inspector said.

Mizanur was working abroad and returned home few years back.
