Woman found dead in Chattogram

A woman was found dead at her home in Chattogram city yesterday.

Shamima Akhter, wife of Jamal Uddin, subedar of Border Guard Bangladesh, was strangled, suspected police.

The victim's brother visited her home and found the door locked from outside. Entering the flat, he found her body around 11:00pm, said Billal Hossain, sub-inspector of EPZ Police Station.

"Her hands and legs were tied and her apartment was ransacked," he added.

The body was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he further said, adding that a case would be filed in this connection.
