Two youths found dead in a car in Dhaka’s Segunbagicha
Police recovered bodies of two youths from a private car, in front of an automobile workshop, in Dhaka's Segunbagicha area this morning.
The deceased are: Siyam Majumder (19) and Rakib (18). They used to work at Kurban Motors and Bachchu Automobiles respectively.
"The two went to sleep in the private car last night. As I was knocking on the car window around 9:30am today, none of the two responded," said Bachchu Mia, owner of Bachchu Automobiles.
"The doors were locked. We broke open the door and found them unconscious," he said.
They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead around 10:45am, he added.
Bachchu said the two had homes but occasionally slept in cars at night.
Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost, said there were no visible injury marks on the bodies.
The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Sub-inspector Abdul Jabbar of Shahbagh Police Station said they are investigating the deaths.
