Two EVMs vandalised

Criminals yesterday attacked a school, where locals were being trained on voting with electronic voting machines (EVMs) ahead of the seventh phase of the union parisha polls tomorrow.

Two EVMs were vandalised in the attack at Borobari Government Primary School in Mainamati union, said Burichang Upazila Election Officer Delwar Hossain.

The attackers also assaulted the presiding officer.

Locals said the attackers were supporters of an independent chairman candidate.
