Five people including two women were detained with explosives from a suspected militant hideout in Nilphamari's Sadar upazila around 11:00 am today, said police.

A house at Puthihari Majhapara village of Sonaray union was cordoned off by the members of Rapid Action Battalion from 2:00 am today on suspicion of being a militant hideout, reports our Nilphamari correspondent.

ANM Imran Khan, assistant director of Rab's legal and media wing, also confirmed the development.

A team of Rab's bomb disposal unit from Rangpur reached the spot, said Rab.
