Sinha murder: Third phase of deposition begins
In its third phase, a Cox's Bazar court today resumed recording witnesses' deposition in Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case.
Judge Ismail Hossain of Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge's Court started recording deposition of Abdul Hamid of Shamlapur in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar at 10:00am, in presence of 15 accused on the dock.
Apart from Abdul Hamid, three other witnesses were present in the courtroom, our Cox's Bazar correspondent reports quoting Public Prosecutor Faridul Alam.
Around 9:30am, the accused were brought to the court from Cox's Bazar district jail by a prison van amid high security.
The third-phase deposition will continue till September 22.
Sinha was killed in police firing at a check post in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf upazila on July 31 last year.
His elder sister filed the murder case with Teknaf Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court against Pradeep, Nandadulal and several others on August 5 last year.
