The High Court yesterday granted ad-interim bail to Humayun Kabir alias RJ Nirob, head of sales (communications and public relations) at controversial e-commerce platform Qcoom, for six months in five separate cases.

The bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Kazi Md Ejarul Haque Akondo passed the order after hearing five petitions filed by RJ Nirob seeking bail in the cases.

Now there is no legal bar for Nirob to get released from Keraniganj jail, said his lawyer Syed Mehedi Hasan.

He said RJ Nirob, who was arrested on October 8, is accused of five cases including one filed under the Digital Security Act.
