Pry School Recruitment: Four held over question leak
The Rapid Action Battalion claimed to have arrested four members of a question leak racket that leaked questions of various recruitment tests using digital devices, in exchange for hefty amount of money.
They were active in ongoing primary school assistant teacher recruitment test.
"We learned that the gang had provided answers to 16 people on April 22 by providing the device. An agreement was reached to supply answers to 12-14 more people through the device in the recruitment test to be held on May 20. Before that, Rab arrested four people including the kingpin," Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of Legal and Media Wing of Rab, told a press briefing yesterday.
The arrestees are -- Iqbal Hossain (42), the ringleader, Ramiz Mridha (30), Nazrul Islam (50) and Modasser Hossain (62).
Among them, Iqbal is working as a primary school teacher. Nazrul is a computer operator of Agargaon Social Services Department, Modasser a former social worker of Mujibnagar Social Service Office. Ramiz was responsible for managing the devices.
They were arrested on Wednesday.
They used to make a contract for Tk 10-15 lakh. Of this, Tk 2 lakh had to be paid in advance before the examination. The examinee was then provided with a wireless kit through which the solution of the question paper was provided from outside, he added.
