Pirganj communal attack: Expelled BCL leader Saikat sued in another DSA case
Saikat Mandal, who allegedly masterminded the recent communal attack in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur, was sued in another case under Digital Security Act.
Deputy Assistant Director of Rapid Action Battalion-13, Abdul Aziz, filed the case with Pirganj Police Station, reports our Dinajpur correspondent.
Saikat, along with one of his accomplices Rabiul Islam, was arrested from Tongi area of Gazipur on Friday.
He was the vice-president of Chhatra League's philosophy department unit, under Rangpur's Carmichael College. On October 18, a day after the attack, Carmichael College Chhatra League sacked him for breaching the organisation's discipline.
Total four cases, including three under the DSA, were filed over the incident and 64 people were arrested in these cases so far.
