Over 100 structures on Laukathi river bank demolished

At least 100 illegal structures were evicted from the the Laukathi river bank in Patuakhali town yesterday noon.

A mobile court, led by Patuakhali Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saifur Rahman, conducted the eviction drive in assistance with local police.

In January 2021, the district administration had cleared more than 300 illegal structures in the same area. However, within a few days after the drive, hundreds of structures were gradually built there.
