One held with 2kg crystal meth

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have arrested a man and seized 2kg crystal meth worth Tk 10 crore from the man's possession in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar today.

The arrestee Md Mujib (20), hails from Teknaf, said a BGB press release, signed by Lt Cornel Mohammad Foisol Hasan Khan, captain of Teknaf Battalion-2 BGB.

On information, a patrol team of BGB conducted a raid at a house at Mithapanichhara village in Teknaf and recovered 2kg crystal meth from his house, said the release.

Filing of a case is underway against the arrestee with Teknaf Police Station, the release said, adding that the arrestee will also be handed over to police after the case is filed.
