MRT engineer comes back to family

The engineer of the MRT Line-6 project of Dhaka Metrorail, who had been "missing" since Sunday afternoon, came back to his family last night.

Officials of Turag Police Station claimed that Shahriyar Kabir had left his house due to family issues.

"He left his house due to family issues, went to Mymensingh and came back this evening [yesterday] by himself," said Moudud Hawladar, officer-in-charge of Turag Police Station.

Shahriyar, 28, is an assistant engineer (electrical) in the MRT Line-6 project, who graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet).

His mother Rashida Akhter had lodged a general diary with the Turag Police Station the day he reportedly went missing.

She said his son has come back. "After seeing news reports on him, he returned."
