Mitu murder: Ex-SP Babul moved to Keraniganj jail from Feni

Former superintendent of police Babul Akter, who is an accused in the case filed over the murder of his wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu, has been moved from Feni jail to Keraniganj jail to be shown arrested in another case.
Babul will be placed before a Keraniganj court showing him arrested in a case filed under Digital Security Act and Special Powers Act by Banaj Kumar Majumder, chief of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), reports our Chattogram staff correspondent.
He was taken to Keraniganj from Feni yesterday (November 9, 2022).
Md Anwarul Karim, superintendent of Feni Jail, confirmed the development to The Daily Star.
"Babul Akter has been taken to Keraniganj to be placed before a court showing him arrested in a case filed in Dhaka," he said.
Babul is among the four named and other unidentified accused in the case filed with Dhanmondi Police Station on September 27.
