Man stabbed to death by neighbour

A young man was stabbed to death by his neighbour in Musaharpara village of Dinajpur's Parbatipur upazila early yesterday.

On Saturday night, the deceased, Mominul Islam, 20, son of Lutfar Rahman, went to complain about his neighbour Mominul Islam Kuri, 25, to his father Jahir Uddin saying Kuri injured him by hitting his bicycle with a three-wheeler.

Enraged by his visit, Kuri attacked Mominul with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rescued him and took him to Parbatipur Upazila Health Complex. As his condition deteriorated, he was taken to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital, where died undergoing treatment.

Abul Hasnat Khan, officer-in-charge of Parbatipur Police Station, said Kuri was arrested following the incident.

Police sent the body to the hospital morgue for autopsy and a case was recorded in this connection, he added.
