Law minister doesn't know if Khaleda gave any undertaking

Law Minister Anisul Huq today said he does not know whether BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has given any undertaking in the application for extending her release order that she will not do politics.

"I cannot recall at this moment whether such any undertaking was given in the application. However, I came to know from the media reports that her [Khaleda Zia's] brother Shamim Iskander asked BNP leaders not to involve her in any programmes of the party," he said.

He was speaking to reporters after attending the inauguration of a training programme as chief guest for the additional district and sessions judges at Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) in Dhaka.
