Jubo Dal leader lands in jail in DSA case

A local Jubo Dal leader was sent to jail in Pirgachha, Rangpur, yesterday, hours after he was accused of "insulting the prime minister on Facebook" in a case filed under the Digital Security Act.

Abul Kalam Azad, general secretary of Kalyani Union Jubo League, filed the case against his Jubo Dal counterpart Touhidul Islam, 36, said Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Pirgachha Police Station.

A court sent him to jail after he was arrested.
