Jhumon Das gets bail

The High Court yesterday granted Jhumon Das an ad-interim bail for six months, after him being in jail for two and a half months in a case filed under the controversial Digital Security Act.

This is Jhumon's second stint in jail in a DSA case filed over social media content.

The court granted the bail to Jhumon on the condition that he cannot make any statement on social media, which can "spread religious prejudice and incitement".
