HC to deliver verdict in Jan over legality of Pori Moni’s remand

The High Court yesterday deferred the verdict on a petition filed challenging the legality of actor Pori Moni's multiple remands in a narcotics case till the first week of January.

The HC bench of Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice ASM Abdul Mobin was scheduled to pronounce judgement on the matter yesterday.

They said they could not prepare it and will deliver judgement after reopening of court following its upcoming annual vacation.

The petition was filed by Ain o Salish Kendra.
