"Before they started robbing the passengers, one of the robbers wanted to sit next to me, but I did not allow that. When they started robbing the passengers and were tying me up, I resisted and tried to stop them – triggering their wrath on me," she said. She is currently receiving treatment at a Tangail hospital.
The victim also said she was tied up, blindfolded and then raped six times, reports Tangail correspondent.

"Around 1 am they started robbing the bus. They first threatened the driver, helper and supervisor with knives and moved them to the back of the bus and tied them up. They also tortured and abused the passengers. After a few hours, they stopped the bus and got down," she added.
The robbers stopped the bus at Tangail's Madhupur.
The in-charge of the hospital, where the woman is being treated, told The Daily Star: "Preliminary tests have been run but more time is needed for doctors to give a report."
