Found 'evidence' of price manipulation for proposed CSTU land: ACC

The Anti-Corruption Commission has found the allegations of price manipulation of land proposed for the Chandpur Science and Technology University (CSTU) by Awami League leader to be "true".
An ACC team yesterday (April 6, 2022) visited Chandpur and collected documents, according to a press release from ACC Public Relations Office.
The team led by ACC Assistant Director Rafi Md Nazmus Sadat collected documents and found Lakshmipur Union Parishad Chairman Selim Khan's involvement in the price manipulation, said the release.
The team also found that Selim Khan is involved in illegal sand lifting from Padma and Megna rivers which is seriously damaging the environment.
"Allegations of the ill motive of misappropriating huge public money by manipulating the price of the land and causing harm to the environment by illegally lifting sand are found to be true. The team will soon submit a detailed report before the commission against the persons involved in it," added the release.
