Doctor impersonator held in Ctg
Members of Rapid Action Batallion (Rab-7) arrested a doctor impersonator from the port city's Kalshidighi area yesterday.
The arrestee was identified as Rupan Shil (52) of Patiya upazila.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. He had been working as a doctor at a private chamber in the port city for a long time without a medical certificate, said a Rab press release.
Tipped-off, a team of Rab-7 caught Rupan when he was treating patients at "his chamber" in Kalshidighi area around 10pm, said Nurul Abser, assistant director of Rab-7 media wing.
He was handed over to Bandar Police Station and a case filed, the official added.
