Couple, son found dead in Savar flat

Police yesterday recovered the slit-throat decomposing bodies of a couple and their 12-year-old son from their flat in Savar's Ashulia last night.
The deceased were identified as Moktar Hossain, 50, his wife Shahida Begum, 40, and their son Mehedi Hasan Joy, 12, reports our Savar correspondent quoting police.
The couple, who were garment workers, hailed from Lohagara village in Thakurgaon's Pirganj upazila.
Police suspect that the trio might have been killed two to three days ago.
The bodies were recovered from the flat on the fourth floor of a six-storey building in Jamgara Fakirbari Mor area around 10:30pm, Zohab Ali, sub-inspector of Ashulia Police Station, told The Daily Star.
The SI said noticing foul smell from the flat, locals knocked on the door of the flat last evening and found it open. They entered the flat and found the three bodies.
On information, police went to the scene and found the bodies in two rooms.
The three were found with their throats slit, said the SI.
