Body recovered from building in Uttara

Police today recovered the body of a man from the ground of a building in the capital's Uttara.

The victim was identified as Subal Pal (50), caretaker of a house in road-10 of Uttara Sector-3.

He had been working as the building's caretaker for the last 10 years.

After being informed, a team of Uttara West Police Station went to the spot and recovered the body around 8:15 am today.

"Subal's hands and legs were found tied with ropes and stab injuries were found on his neck and right ear," said Sub-inspector Yousuf Ali of Uttara West Police Station.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.

The preliminary investigation said some unidentified people entered the house, tied his hands and feet and stabbed him. Further, details will be provided after the autopsy report comes, said SI Yosuf
