BNP leader Khairul’s home set on fire

A group of criminals set fire to the house of BNP Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon in Narsingdi town yesterday.
Some 10 to 20 people stormed the house, vandalised furniture and set it ablaze around 4:45pm, said locals.
On information, two fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control within 20 minutes, said Abdul Mannan Ansari, senior station officer of Narsingdi Fire Service.
No one was at home during the incident, said neighbours.
Harun-or-Rashid, inspector (investigation) of Narsingdi Sadar Police Station, said they were yet to find the motive behind the attack.
