BCL leader lands in jail for forging judge’s signature
A Brahmanbaria court sent a local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) to jail in a case filed for forging the signature of a judge and a lawyer.
Ishtiaq Ahmed Bappy, 29, general secretary of Sarail upazila unit BCL, committed the fraud to sell a stolen motorcycle, according to the case statement.
Lawyer Ishtiak Ahmed, also the plaintiff, said, "Bappy prepared an affidavit for the sale of a motorcycle by forging my signature as well as the signature of Brahmanbaria Chief Judicial Magistrate Court's judge."
