Bangladeshi injured in mine blast
A Bangladeshi man was injured in a landmine blast on the Myanmar side of Cherarmath border in Bandarban's Naikhongchhari upazila today.
According to locals, they heard a huge bang around 3:00pm. Rushed to the spot, they found Surat Alam, 40, their neighbour, lying on the ground, reports our Bandarban correspondent.
His left ankle was blown, they added.
Confirming the incident, Tantu Saha, officer-in-charge of Naikhongchhari Police Station, said Surat was taken to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for treatment.
