Arrestee Mohammad Ishtiaque Mahmud is the brother-in-law of Shusashoner Jonno Nagorik (Sujan) Secretary Badiul Alam Majumder.
He was arrested from the Mohammadpur area in the evening and will be sent to court tomorrow, HM Azimul Haque, deputy commissioner of DMP's Tejgaon Division told The Daily Star.
Earlier today, a Dhaka court accepted the supplementary charge sheet against nine people in the case.
The nine included prime accused Ishtiaque Mahmud and Naimul Hasan Rasel, president of the Mohammadpur Chhatra League unit.
On August 4, 2018, some 30 unidentified miscreants attacked the car of Bernicat, who was about to leave the residence of Badiul Alam around 11:00pm after attending a courtesy dinner in her honour.
Six days later, Badiul Alam filed the case with Mohammadpur Police Station on August 10, 2018.
