Ansarullah Bangla Team operative arrested in Chandpur: police

Anti-Terrorism Unit of police claimed to have arrested a member of the banned militant group Ansarullah Bangla Team during a raid at Chandpur yesterday.

The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Hossain (31), hailing from Sadar upazila of the district.

He had been disseminating extremism-provoking content on social media using fake IDs, said Aslam Khan, superintendent (media and awareness) of ATU.

A case was filed against him with Chandpur Sadar Police Station under Anti-Terrorism Act.
