ACC official files GD after receiving death threats

A general diary was filed by Anti-Corruption Commission's (ACC) Deputy Assistant Director, Sharif Uddin, as he received death threats yesterday.

Sharif Uddin filed the GD with Chattogram's Khulshi Police Station in this regard last night.

Sharif Uddin claimed in the GD that Md Ayub Khan Chowdhury, former managing director of Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL), and another person threatened him directly at his home around 7:30pm.

Santosh Kumar Chakma, officer-in-charge of Khulshi Police Station, said, "The general diary has been recorded and we will be taking action regarding the matter."

Sharif Uddin is currently employed by the ACC's Patuakhali Integrated Office as a deputy assistant director. He had previously worked for Chattogram ACC.
